What are the installation requirements for a VT-DGA online monitor?
VT-DGA online monitors require connection to the transformer via two isolation valves on the oil circuit (typically the drain valve and a return point on the top of the tank). The monitor’s oil pump circulates a small volume of oil through the measurement cell and returns it to the transformer. Electrical requirements are standard single-phase AC mains (100-240 V, 50/60 Hz). Communication connections (Ethernet, RS-485, or fiber optic) are required for data transmission to SCADA or the local network. Installation typically takes 3-4 hours and can be performed by a qualified technician without taking the transformer offline. Detailed installation manuals and on-site support are available from VA-TEK.
